'We are indeed much more that what we eat, but what we eat can nevertheless help us to be much more than what we are'
Adelle Davis (Nutrition pioneer, 1904-1974)
I discovered nutrition in my mid to late 20s; I had a successful career in media and a very busy social life but I took little responsibility for my health and, as a result, my lifestyle was making me ill. After seeing a nutritionist and reading countless books and articles, I became hooked and I was soon studying to become a nutritional therapist myself.
I travelled to Sydney, the home of naturopathy, where I obtained a Diploma of Nutrition from the Australasian College of Natural Therapies. In addition, I hold a diploma in Naturopathic Nutrition from the renowned College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) in London. I am a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy (BANT).
I absolutely love food and having seen the massive improvement in my health from changing my diet and lifestyle, I am passionate about spreading this to all who will listen. I understand first-hand the pressures people are under in their busy lifestyles, but all too often we place ourselves at the bottom of our list of priorities. My goal is to help people take more time for themselves, and care about the food they consume - small changes can have powerful results.
When I'm not trying to change the world through nutrition, I am running after my beautiful and energetic toddler, which is enough to keep anyone fit. Being a mum, as any mum will tell you, is the toughest job in the world, but naturally the most rewarding. I am extremely fortunate to have my knowledge of nutrition as this helped me through pregnancy, breastfeeding and now keeping my family as healthy as possible.
