A bit about me...

I am a fully qualified Nutritional Therapist and healthy cookery expert with a decade of experience working with women just like you to help them kick their cravings and ditch their food dramas.

I'm a busy mum of two young children and I have exactly the same challenges in my life as you do - which mainly include trying to fit the kids’ school runs, after school clubs, mountains of laundry, feeding pets (and kids), running a business, maintaining a happy marriage around eating well, getting some exercise and fitting in the odd pedicure. (and not always succeeding!)

I have also had my own personal health challenges having turned to nutrition to heal my gut following years of IBS, and to recover from adrenal fatigue post-childbirth. I am diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease (autoimmune underactive thyroid) and have a wealth of experience in managing these conditions through diet and lifestyle. There's not much I haven't tried on myself!

FAQs

Do I need a lot of new kitchen equipment?

You will need a well-stocked kitchen with the usual knives, pots and pans. I would recommend a blender for smoothies and soups - many brands and price ranges are available. A food processor is a nice to have as it speeds up your time in the kitchen, but is not essential.

How much time will I need to spend in the kitchen?

As you will be taking better care of yourself, this does mean cooking meals from scratch and spending a little time in the kitchen! The meal plans give you instructions to prep some items ahead of time at the weekend (or whichever day works best for you) to minimise your time in the kitchen during the week. Many of the dishes can be prepped in advance. Most of the dinner recipes can be put together in under 30 minutes, some are even quicker. A slow cooker is a useful appliance.

Why are all your recipes gluten-free? Do I have to eat gluten-free foods?

The recipes are all gluten-free because I do not eat gluten and I create and test a lot of the recipes myself. You do not have to follow a gluten-free diet and I do not recommend that you start eating 'gluten-free alternatives' because often these are highly processed and full of sugar. You are welcome to continue to eat gluten, however you may start to feel healthier without it. 

How do the monthly payments work?

You will be billed for the first month as soon as you join the club and every 30/31 days thereafter for as long as you remain a member.

Am I locked in for any length of time? What do I do if I want to cancel my membership?

On the annual and 3-monthly optoins you are locked in for a year and 3 months respectively, as you have paid upfront. You will be invited to renew your memberships before these expires. On the monthly option, you can cancel whenever you wish by emailing [email protected]. Please allow at least 5 days notice before your next monthly instalment goes out. 

I have food intolerances/am a vegetarian, are there choices for me?

I have food intolerances too! All the recipes in the club are gluten and wheat-free, most are dairy-free or have dairy-free options, and if there are other foods you can't have, I am always happy to provide alternative suggestions. Many of the meal plans have vegetarian alternatives on the menu, and we even have a whole Veggie Bundle. So you are well catered for. 

Will my food bill go up?

You may have to restock your pantry with some new items in the beginning so there may be an initial outlay that is bigger than you are used to but most of these store cupboard items will not need to be restocked weekly. Be aware also that cooking fresh foods from scratch is a greater investment in your health - cheap processed foods are cheap for a reason. However, the meal plans and shopping lists mean you know exactly what you are shopping for so you are not tempted by offers in the supermarket and there is very little wastage! Also there are plenty of options of bulk buy online eg. Amazon pantry, or shop in Aldi or Lidl which now have a fab range of healthier options at low prices.

Do I have to count calories or points?

Absolutely not! There will be no counting in the club! Just eating of yummy food and feeling fab!

Will I lose weight?

If you have excess weight to lose, a side-effect of nourishing your body with the right foods and self-care may include weight loss. Many members have lost weight on eating this way. It is not, however, a restricted weight loss programme.

Will I gain weight by eating full fat foods and nuts?

Not if you eat them in the correct proportions. These foods contain vital nutrients such as fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E and K) and Omega 3 essential fatty acids, that are otherwise missing from your diet on a low-fat/fat-free diet. These foods keep you full and balance your blood sugar which is crucial to keep you away from sugar and refined carbohydrates (which do promote weight gain).

Can my family eat these meals?

Absolutely! Many of the members of the club also have families to feed (as do I!) and mostly feed them recipes from the club. We have a Family-Friendly Bundle, and a huge variety of one-pot meals.

I'm on medication. Can I follow this plan?

Any advice given in the club does not replace your medical advice. Always consult a medical professional when making changes to your diet. Never stop taking any medication without consulting your doctor first.
